14th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species

The COP14 of the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species (CMS) will be hosted from 12 to 17 February 2024 by the government of Uzbekistan, in Samarkand.

“Nature knows no borders”

First global meeting on biodiversity after the adoption of the Kunming-Montreal Framework, the COP14 of the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals will gather governments, scientists and actors to elaborate strategies on the conservation of migratory species and their habitats.

What to expect from the COP14?

The meeting will highlight the issues of habitat conservation and restoration as well as threats to species such as overexploitation, habitat loss and fragmentation, pollution and climate change.

It will also provide AN opportunity for the launch of the first report on the ‘State of the World’s Migratory Species’, and new global guidelines on light pollution, and best practices for linear infrastructure.
