The Role of Local Actors in the European Green Deal and Fit-for-55

The Role of Local Actors in the European Green Deal and Fit-for-55

With the European Green Deal, the EU is committing itself and all actors involved in European governance as part of an ambitious programme to transform production, consumption, mobility and construction or renovation of buildings.

What role will the territories play in the transition to a low-carbon Europe? What resources will they be able to mobilise to achieve the objectives set for 2030 and 2050? How can citizens and economic actors be involved on the ground? What relations between local authorities, the State and Europe would this new policy imply?

These are some of the questions that this round table will attempt to answer with local representatives, representatives of European networks of local authorities, as well as European institutions.
