Liège Declaration on Adaptation to Climate Change

Roadmap on adaptation to climate change in Europe of non-state actors gathered at the Climate Chance Europe 2024 Wallonia Summit, 8-9 February 2024 in Liège, Under the auspices of the Belgian Presidency of the EU Council

At the end of the Climate Chance Europe 2024 Wallonia Summit, organised as part of the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the EU, the Roadmap for Adaptation to Climate Change was adopted by the non-state actors who gathered at the event on 8 & 9 February in Liège.

Collective and ambitious, it represents a significant and decisive step in the work of the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the EU. The key messages will be conveyed to the European institutions with a view to a renewed and strengthened the Green Deal after 2024.

Nearly 100 organisations have signed the Declaration to date, it still remains open for signature.
