Insurance and the Financing of Solidarity in the Context of “Fair Adaptation and Solidarity”

Description

Insurance plays a very important role, and therefore also in adapting to future climate change. They already influence the choices made by businesses, communities and our leaders on a daily basis. Change (infrastructure, planning, land use, community or citizen habits, availability of more or less ancillary commodities) will either happen with them, or it won’t happen at all.

The ideal is to establish a new contract between policymakers, (re-)insurers and communities. How can this be achieved?
