AfriVe Magazine – Water and Sanitation

Issue No. 09 (April–May 2026) of AfriVe has just been published, focusing on the key issue of “Water and sanitation: the great paradox of a continent under pressure”. This issue includes a special feature on the activities of Climate Chance.

The latest issue of AfriVe Magazine is dedicated to a key issue for Africa’s climate and development trajectories: water and sanitation.

In this issue, the magazine offers an in-depth analysis of the challenges associated with the sustainable management of water resources on the continent, against a backdrop of the growing effects of climate change and rapid urbanisation. In Africa, pressure on water resources is set to intensify, with direct impacts on living conditions, economic activities and the resilience of regions.

This issue brings together contributions from experts and committed stakeholders on key themes such as water diplomacy, urban sanitation management, gender inequalities in access to water, and issues related to the blue economy.

A special feature is also dedicated to Climate Chance, highlighting the initiatives led by the association and its partners to strengthen climate action by non-state actors in Africa, particularly on adaptation and water management issues.
