Themed Day — Wastelands & Biodiversity: Let’s Clear the Topic!
The Breton Biodiversity Agency invites you to discover the role of wastelands in biodiversity conservation and territorial transitions.
The Breton Biodiversity Agency, in partnership with Lannion‑Trégor Communauté, is organizing a themed day dedicated to wastelands and their ecological potential.
This event aims to demonstrate that wastelands are not merely abandoned lands, but true spaces rich in biodiversity and offering sustainable solutions for territories. Local authorities, researchers, associations, natural area managers, and socio-economic stakeholders will come together through roundtables, scientific presentations, and experience-sharing sessions to explore:
- the role of wastelands in biodiversity conservation and development,
- the renaturation and reuse of wastelands in territorial projects,
- and the links between wastelands, climate change adaptation, agricultural decline, and sustainable initiatives.
Speakers will include representatives from DREAL Bretagne, the National Museum of Natural History, Institut Agro Rennes‑Angers, LPO Bretagne, and numerous local land managers and associations.
