Watch a video of the Biodiversity Corridors demonstration project in the Republic of Guinea

Anne Raimat presents the challenges of the "Biodiversity corridors" demonstration project in the Republic of Guinea.

The « Biodiversity Corridors » demonstration project in the Republic of Guinea is part of a wider framework: the International Coalition « Biodiversity Corridors in Africa« .

It aims to combat the problems of human-animal cohabitation and habitat fragmentation.

The project has 3 components:

  • Knowledge of the territories via detailed mapping of the project scope
  • Implementation of field actions supported by appropriate funding: forest preservation, agroecology and agroforestry
  • Certification methodology: emission of carbon credits incorporating biodiversity and ecological connectivity co-benefits

The project extends over a three-year period, with partial funding from AFD, and involves the collaboration of several partners.
