The concept

Climate Chance continues its mission of mobilising and working with a wide range of stakeholders on the major challenges of adapting to and mitigating climate change in Africa and Europe. Thus, every month we present a Climate Action eMag.

A few months ahead of the 3 COPs at the end of 2024 (climate, biodiversity and desertification), Climate Chance presents a new cycle of eMags for the year, focusing on two areas: climate action in Africa and adaptation in Europe.

Each month, the eMag offers a space for sharing news, best practices and feedback, expertise and exchanges, based on the Observatory‘s analyses. Climate Chance thus pursues its mission of mobilising and working with a wide range of stakeholders on the major challenges of adapting to and mitigating climate change in Africa and Europe.

Therefore, the 2024 cycle of eMags focuses on two areas: climate action in Africa and adaptation in Europe.

Each issue focuses on an issue linked to the major challenges, news and Agenda of Action.

The eMag has a dual format: a 1.15 hour live online session featuring representatives from European and African territories, experts and field actors from the « climate community », for each theme covered, followed by a print and web magazine, all fully bilingual (French and English).

Virtual Workshops in 2020 and 2021

In 2020-2021, Climate Chance led several Virtual Workshops, organised with the support of CoMSSA and the European Union.

These Workshops, organised against a backdrop of a health crisis, have enabled us to renew contact with our African Coalitions, discuss the impacts of COVID-19 on their sectors (adaptation, agriculture, energy, transport, circular economy, etc.) and, in the absence of a Climate Chance Africa Summit in 2020, continue working via roadmaps. Key figures were invited to share their views on the major challenges facing their sectors. They also drew on the work and analyses of the Climate Chance Observatory.
