The 2nd International Mobility and Climate Conference Abidjan 2026 kicks off!

On Thursday 5 June 2026, a press conference was held in Abidjan to mark the signing of the partnership agreement between CODATU, Climate Chance and AMUGA (Greater Abidjan Urban Mobility Authority), under the aegis of the Côte d’Ivoire Ministry of Transport, for the organisation of the ‘International Conference on Sustainable Mobility and Climate’ #CIMDC Abidjan 2026.

The conference, which follows on from the event organised in Dakar in 2022 (#SMDC2022), will focus on the main issues involved in mitigating and adapting cities to climate change, with sustainable mobility and urban planning/housing as the main theme. The event, scheduled for October 2026, will welcome 1,500 participants from over 40 nations.

A number of themes will be addressed during the conference, including mobility, gender, urban planning, housing, sustainable development and financing.
