XIX Codatu Scientific Conference

Registration for the 19th CODATU Scientific Conference is open until 15 October 2026!
This day will be dedicated to discussions and interactive workshops focused on a central question: sustainable urban mobility in African cities.
The programme will feature 10 thematic sessions addressing key topics for the scientific community, closely aligned with the challenges faced by African cities and the operational issues encountered by practitioners in the field.
At the end of the day, the main findings and recommendations emerging from the discussions will be compiled into position papers. These documents will be presented during the International Conference on Sustainable Mobility and Climate (CIMDC) and the African Paratransit Exhibition (SATA) on 20–21 October 2026. They will also contribute to the Abidjan Declaration, which will be presented at COP31.
The 19th CODATU Scientific Conference promises to be a key event for research, education, and forward-looking thinking on urban mobility in African cities. Researchers, academics, and PhD candidates are invited to join the discussions and contribute to this collective reflection.

Participation Requirements
The 19th CODATU Scientific Conference is reserved for researchers and professionals involved in education and training in the field of urban mobility.
To participate, attendees must be able to provide proof of affiliation with a university, higher education or training institution, or research centre.
Registration for the CODATU Scientific Conference does not grant access to the International Conference on Sustainable Mobility and Climate (CIMDC) or the African Paratransit Exhibition (SATA). Separate registration is required to attend these two events.

Registration Fees
- PhD Candidates: 10,000 FCFA / €15
- Researchers and academics from non-OECD countries: 20,000 FCFA / €30
- Researchers and academics from OECD member countries: 30,000 FCFA / €45
- Moderators and panellists: Registration fees are waived, in accordance with the arrangements that will be communicated to them individually.
Registration fees include:
- Access to all Scientific Conference sessions;
- Coffee breaks;
- Lunch on 19 October.
Travel, accommodation, and any other expenses related to attending the conference are not covered by the organisers.

Registration and payment must be completed online before the event. No on-site payments will be accepted.
