“Rendez-vous with Africas : strenghtening ties between territories”
Join us for the second edition of the “Rendez-vous with Africas” on November 26 in Bordeaux.
On November 26, the Bordeaux Métropole headquarters will host a day that promises to be a true laboratory of ideas and encounters: the second edition of the “Rendez-vous with the Africas” co-organized with Climate Chance.
More than a standard institutional program, the event is designed as a crossroads where visions, field experience, and concrete initiatives come together, with a clear goal: giving greater space to cooperation between the Africas and the Bordeaux area. Discussions will range from culture to climate, from local dynamics to continental perspectives.
The morning will set the tone with speakers actively engaged in Franco-African relations, followed by a series of thematic discussions. The afternoon will take the conversation further, particularly around biodiversity issues: how can conservation and economic development be reconciled? What new models can be imagined at a time when public funding is evolving? How can ecological corridors be designed to also benefit local communities?
And because no encounter with the Africas would be complete without a place for artistic creation, the day will conclude at Le Rocher de Palmer with two musical performances celebrating the diversity of sounds from across the continent.
An open, vibrant, and plural day — designed for all those who wish to better understand the dynamics at work and discover the many initiatives bringing Bordeaux Métropole and the Africas closer together.
