International Conference on Sustainable Mobility and Climate 2026

From Data to Impact: Governing, Financing and Making Mobility More Equitable

Pitch

Data is not an end in itself.
This session will address the challenges of data governance, transparency, sustainable financing of urban mobility and institutional cooperation, with the aim of identifying the conditions that enable cities in the Global South to build sovereign, inclusive and economically sustainable digital ecosystems.
How can data become a genuine tool to support decision-making and the implementation of mobility policies?
What organisational and governance frameworks need to be established to pool and manage this data?
What models applicable to Global South countries can be used to finance and leverage this data with a focus on impact and social justice?
