The A home, a vegetable garden initiative satisfies a large demand for sanitary needs.répond a un fort besoin sanitaire.

Indeed, high inequality levels persist in terms of quality food due to multiple factors such as economic and social differences.

A home, a vegetable garden defends having healthy and quality food available for all and brings green areas back to towns. A home, a vegetable garden  also insists on the need for towns to gain back enjoyable areas that will have a positive impact on the population.

Finally, A home, a vegetable garden’s approach aims to bring solutions facing the social need to reconcile Cities with Nature.

Objective

Enabling households to produce their own crops and food and bring green areas to the city's ecosystem at the same time.

Quantitative results

A home, a vegetable garden  took place within over 5,000 households that now participate in making the urban areas of Lomé greener and benefit from fresh local produce!

Qualitative results

Since the launch,  the initiative installed over 1,000 roofs will green areas.
