Overview of the project
The main objectives of this project are:
- To offer trainings on apiculture to local villagers
- To raise awareness on this highly endangered species, the honey bee
- To develop queen bee breeding by selecting the native breeds.
Protecting the endangered sepcies from extinction in the Skoura region of Morrocco.
Develpoing family apiculture. Over 300 beehives have been distributed.
There is a correct success rate (approx. 35%) taking into account the desertification phenomenon and lack grazing land in the region.
Phase1 funded by the "Fondation de France" + "Office Agricole". Phase 2 is seeking funding.
