Assafaa
The Assafaa Association for Environment and Development (ASED Agadir), founded on September 22, 2021, in Tilila, Agadir, is a Moroccan non-governmental organization focused on youth.

Overview of the project
The Environmental Cinema Caravan, led by the Assafaa Association with support from the Agadir municipality, aims to engage middle school students with ecological issues through artistic expression. From February to June 2025, the project takes place in four schools in Hay Mohammadi and Tilila, involving three workshops: climate and SDGs, expressive arts, and audiovisual techniques. Each school will produce a video to be shared on social media, turning students into active and creative environmental advocates. This participatory approach fosters creativity, responsibility, and technical skills. The first two workshops have been successfully completed; video production is about to begin.
To promote innovative and participatory environmental education by supporting middle school students in creating audiovisual content shared online.
Ongoing research
20/02/2025 à 20/06/2025
So far, four workshops have been held in four schools (three in Hay Mohammadi, one in Tilila), with around 90 students participating — over 20 per school. Each session lasted 2 to 3 hours. The climate/SDG and expressive arts cycles are completed. Student attendance exceeded 85%. The videos will be published after the final phase.
Four workshops were held in the target schools, each with over 20 active student participants. The students showed strong interest in environmental issues, asking thoughtful questions and sharing local experiences. The project boosted their self-esteem and motivation. Teachers and staff praised the participatory approach and high level of engagement.
The project was funded by the Municipality of Agadir with an amount of 3 000 euros.
