The project aims to improve livestock feed and promote sustainable livestock farming through an integrated approach. Following feasibility studies, suitable areas will be developed for fodder plantations. Nurseries will supply local seeds, and livestock farmers will be trained in fodder cultivation, conservation and distribution techniques.

Overview of the project
This project aims to improve cattle feed in the northern zone of Cameroon by creating fodder plantations, improving access to fodder, building the capacity of local stakeholders and promoting environmental sustainability.

The project aims to increase fodder production in northern Cameroon, improve livestock feed in the dry season, boost the productivity and resilience of livestock farms, increase farmers’ incomes, reduce pressure on natural pastures, and contribute to food security and local development.
The project will be financed by the partners identified and up to 10% by the municipalities benefiting from the project.
