Overview of the project

The project is implemented in Woliso Woreda South West Showa of Ethiopia by involving youth leaders and school communities in Woliso Town and the surrounding. It aims on building and increasing the leadership capacity of youth to initiate and implement Social Action Projects that contribute to the sustainable development of local communities.
As a strategy, the project adopted a strong capacity building and youth led initiatives, whereby the project management use its experience and training resources for developing the skills and knowledge of participating youth and community members. Major activities taken in the project are training, provision of continuous mentorship and technical support, and implementation of environmental initiatives including management of mini greenhouse, seedling production, supporting community environmental protection and awareness raising events on environmental sustainability.
