Select Partnerships Committee (COPAR): Mobilization of science and policy for the governance of natural resources in Africa
The OSS is an international organization with an African focus. Its main role is to create and support partnerships to collectively address the challenges related to water resource management.
Overview of the project
The project strengthens regional cooperation in Africa on climate issues, through data sharing, awareness-raising and advocacy. It promotes the protection of ecosystems, encourages debate on land degradation and steers the debate towards concrete solutions.
Mobilising the international scientific and political community around the crucial issues of sustainable land management, adaptation to climate change and the governance of natural resources in Africa.

The OSS is an international organization with an African focus that supports the sustainable management of water, land, biodiversity, and climate in Africa. It brings together 35 member countries (including 28 African countries) and collaborates with regional organizations, NGOs, and UN agencies to collectively address the continent’s major environmental challenges.
