Construction of an agroecology centre in the Kwenge sector of the DRC
Fighting to defend the rights of young farmers in the DRC, representing young farmers at international level, building the capacity of young farmers in food sovereignty, agro-ecology and the defence of nature, combating social injustice.
Overview of the project
As young farmers are neglected, we, the young farmers who are members of the LJP-RDC, need a centre for young farmers’ agro-ecology. The large centre for young farmers in agro-ecology will be national and will enable young farmers to be trained from time to time in agro-ecology. The kwenge sector is a part of the country whose farmers work on agro-ecological practices. It is located 400 km from Kinshasa, 150 km from the town of kenge and 100 km from the town of kikwit, and was chosen for its ecological influence, as well as being close to 5 provinces of the Congo.
The project aims to build a national centre for young people in agro-ecology, which will enable young farmers to be trained in agro-ecological farming practices.

2,318 young men and women farmers will benefit from training in agro-ecology.
