EDuC Label
La Belle EDuC is the organization behind the EDuC Label, the 1st sustainability label for higher education programs focusing on teaching and the student learning experience.
Overview of the project
Current practice encourages higher education institutions to create entire new sustainability programs to cater to students looking to become responsible professionals in their fields, while candidates looking for sustainability incorporation over a specialist focus lack transparent information and can easily become disappointed with the lack of coverage of sustainability issues. The EDuC Label, with its user-friendly yes/no criteria framework, drives programs to incorporate sustainability teaching throughout their curricula as a topic that affects almost all disciplines and subject areas. Through its weighting, the EDuC Label rewards the integration of sustainability content throughout a program over the addition of elective sustainability courses, leading to a much-needed desiloing of sustainability.
The EDuC Label was designed as a response to student demand for transparency on sustainability content in higher education programs, allowing higher education programs of all types to prove their commitment to sustainability by way of a certification.
Pilote operation, experimentation

The EDuC Label is currently in the pilot phase in Europe, after which it will be rolled out to all continents following its international launch in 2022.
The EDuC Label operates with the overriding goal of leading higher education institutions to greater integration of sustainability content and practices, and one of the ways it does this is through publishing. The project has so far been associated with two publications with this intention:
