Terranis is an SME based near Toulouse and specialising in the development of applications and information services based on Space Observation and aimed at the agricultural sector.

An initiative of TERRANIS

Overview of the project

Valorada is a Horizon Europe project developing tools for assessing climate risks (drought, flooding, etc.) based on spatial and local data, tested in five European regions and disseminated for wider use.

Objective

Use of multi-source data (spatial, in situ and climatic) to assess the risks associated with climate change.

Level of progress

Ongoing research

Project timeline

01/06/2023 à 01/06/2026

Quantitative results

6 tools were developed as part of the project to calculate and display around thirty indicators linked to six climate risks: drought, flooding, heatwave, retreating coastline, fires and soil degradation.

Qualitative results

A catalogue of climate risk indicators has been drawn up, associated tools have been developed and are currently being deployed in pilot areas. A user evaluation is scheduled for the end of the project.
