Sensitization sessions (workshops) about the nature and climate change, buying and distributing tools to the beneficiaries.

The funding will also be used to cover at a percentage the administration related costs. YUF would like to have its team trained in climate change and environment protection, plastic management; to have the ability to transmit it to the community members and effectively implement related projects. YUF would also like your organization to organize trainings that will benefit our management team in social environment management.

Project timeline

December/16/2023 - November/26/2024, project still in progress

Quantitative results

We are looking at hundred households trained in trees’ nursery beds to produce three five thousand tree seedlings to be distributed to community members with spaces. These tree seedlings should be planted this year 2024 as a contribution to the climate change solutions in Uganda.

Qualitative results

The community members in need of tree seedlings want to fruits mainly, though others want other types of trees. We are growing trees that can last for long and resist to climatic conditions of Uganda, and are adaptative to environmental conditions .

Financing

Youth Up Foundation did all this in partnership with the GreenFaith International Network, Norwegian Refugee Council, Mercy corps and a number of schools and churches.
