Overview of the project

European regions and communities still face difficulties adapting to climate-related hazards – mostly because they lack the right knowledge. REGILIENCE+ project aims to bridge this gap by sharing the latest, most practical adaptation solutions with local and regional authorities. Its primary objective is to harvest and synthesise adaptation solutions from Mission Adaptation projects and other successful initiatives. By making high-quality evidence accessible, the project guides Regional and Local Authorities (RLAs) through their own climate adaptation journeys. To fulfil its mission, REGILIENCE+ provides actionable knowledge to the Portal of the EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change, Climate-ADAPT, and National Adaptation Hubs, supporting authorities across Europe’s diverse communities. In particular, the project develops : 150 Proven Adaptation Solutions: A curated set of case studies, tools, and methods emerging from the Mission ecosystem. 70+ Knowledge Products: Multilingual materials and training resources tailored to regional needs. Trainings: General webinars on integrating resilience across sectors and targeted in-person workshops and peer exchanges to strengthen institutional capacities. Event Organisation: Promotion of project outputs at the European Urban Resilience Forum (June 2026) and Mission Adaptation Fora. Technical Helpdesk: A demand-responsive service to help RLAs select the best solutions for their specific context. Specialised Resources: Access REGILIENCE Quick Guides for Natural Hazards. REGILIENCE+ together with AdaptationHubs are the flagship initiatives of the EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change. Both projects are supporting the Mission in accelerating climate adaptation across EU countries.
